The holographic circus that entertains the young Neel siblings is the same watch the Chewbacca family watch from the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).

I watched the first two episodes, and while there is a clear aspiration to create “mouths in space,” I watched the first two episodes. It’s a very different take on the story that exists in the Star Wars universe. I liked the look and feel of a suburban town in this world because we’ve never seen it before.
than anything we’d seen in recent series
The town they came from reminded me more of the setting of E.T. The 4 main characters are typical but likable, all have clearly defined roles within the group and are well played by the actors. The pirate atmosphere is not necessarily something we’ve seen before and adds a somewhat sinister element and atmosphere of danger.
If this was an 80s movie, it would fit
To this day, I enjoy the new storytelling elements of the Star Wars universe, the nostalgia of my childhood movies, and the ability to share that Star Wars experience with my children. Well done!.
